Aqua'aba Foundation marked its one-year anniversary with a remarkable celebration held at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park this past September. Situated in Accra, this park stands as a profound tribute to Kwame Nkrumah, the inaugural president of Ghana. The memorial complex not only encompasses a mausoleum and beautifully landscaped gardens but also hosts museums providing deep insights into Nkrumah's life and his instrumental role in Ghana's history. Specifically, these museums illuminate Ghana's journey to independence from Great Britain.
The overarching goal of this memorial is to enlighten and motivate visitors by propagating Nkrumah's cherished ideals of unity, self-determination, and societal advancement. Through its exhibitions and historical narratives, the memorial serves as an educational beacon, aiming to inspire individuals about Nkrumah's enduring legacy and his vision for a unified, self-reliant, and socially progressive Ghana.
The kids had an amazing time exploring and learning about their former president while engaging in various activities around the mausoleum. Their favorite part of the day was undoubtedly the thrilling experience of horse riding! The day concluded on a delightful note with a serving of assorted spaghetti paired with refreshing drinks, making it a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
